Featured Roast/Torréfaction de la semaine: Yemen Mocha Ismaili

For the first feature of 2021 we welcome back the Yemen Mocha Ismaili.  Tiny little beans with a lot of flavour. I have previously mentioned a little about the history of coffee in Yemen, in reference to  other Yemen coffees that we have carried. You will find some of that here and here.

One of the highest grown coffees in Yemen, at altitudes of over 2000 metres (6000 – 7000 ft), the Ismaili is one of the countries most coveted. Even locally!

This is a coffee with great complexity. Rather spicy and full flavoured.

The coffee listed here is part of a rotation of special coffees featured here at Art Brûlant. We also carry a regular in-house listing which includes coffees from Sumatra, India, Burundi, Brazil and Columbia. Unlike the features these coffees are always on offer. Unless of course they have been sold out for the week. In which case you will have to wait until next week.
