“Coffee and Music / La music et le café!”

I like to listen to music while I work. Whether I am in the print studio or roasting coffee I often have music on. What is playing depends what I am doing, the time of day/year or my mood. The coffee part of Art Brulant was inaugurated with live music – Sneezy Waters. Andrew Ager helped us celebrate the 1st year anniversary. With all of this I have often thought that I should look into music that has to do with coffee.

So here goes. Apart from basic online searches here are a couple of websites that were of great help. Morning Coffee Afternoon Tea with “Coffee Croons & Tea Tunes” and Locust S. with “7 Drinks of Mankind: Coffee” .  It would seem that there is a good deal of music out there that has at least something to do with coffee. It crosses most genres as far as I can see from Bach’s Coffee Cantata to Chris Rea’s Espresso Logic. There is vocal and instrumental.

Any way here is a small list of some of the music I have found. I even found links to some of them with  You Tube – please note that I have not included any of the compilations of songs that are “Cafe Songs”, “Jazz Cafe Songs” or other such groupings. So this list is by no means exhaustive, but if you think there is something that belongs here I would like to know. (If any of these songs belong to you and you want them removed please let me know and I will do so.)
