Kahawa Link Company (Kalico)

The Kahawa Link Company (Kalico) was started in March 2012 by Burundi entrepreneurs Angèle Ciza and Consolata Ndayishimiye with the purchase of seven Wet Mill Stations in the NE part of Burundi.

Points of Interest concerning Kalico:

  • supervision of coffee producers at all stages – from tree nurseries to picking
  • working closely with those involved at all levels, especially the women coffee growers
  • working to provide global markets for specialty coffee from Burundi
  • working to certify the processing stations for BIO and Fairtrade certification
