Stretching the Legs & Coffeeneuring

There has been a sad lack of variety here on this blog recently. Excuses? One might say that I have been rather rushing around doing other things, or, I have been doing the usual and just not writing about it, or, maybe just laziness!

What ever the reason this little jaunt is something I have been wanting to do for a little while. Especially since the last time I did it there was no way I could make it enjoyable what with the ever present biting flies. Climbing hills in low gear in a cloud of over enthusiastic Deer Flies is not enjoyable.

This was also a chance to put the new setup on the Metabike through some paces. The new setup includes a change to a straight fork from a     suspension fork, 650b wheels and tires (tubeless) and flat studded pedals. Fenders too…..

And then the main reason for the ride was to make this my “# 2 Coffee” of the Chasing Mailboxes Coffeeneuring Challenge 2014. So here is a little bit from a ride around Mountain Rd./Yach Rd. near Ladysmith, Québec. With a stop for lunch and coffee (of course!). Sunday, October 12, 2o14
