For this week’s featured roast I have brought back a seasonal favourite. For this time of year a big flavoured bean that is a little on the special side is nice. The Hawaiian Kauai Peaberry meets the criteria well.
Coming from the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian archipelago already makes it special. Grown at medium altitudes in rich volcanic soils helps. Being a peaberry tops it!
With flavours reminiscent of other coffees sourced in the Oceanic regions, this Peaberry has a lot of depth with earthy cocoa flavours.
