This week we are back to East Africa on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania.
This coffee from the Shangri La Estate in Tanzania has nice body to it and a good full clean flavour with some cocoa coming through. What it seems to lack is some of the acidity that can be typical of East African coffees. Rather than a fault, this lack of acidity seems to contribute smoothness to the overall texture and flavour.
Not a “slap-you-in-the-face” kind of coffee, but a very pleasant cup. The second cup comes easy!
