We don’t officially have winter yet, I think that is December 21st, but most of the trees have lost their leaves and so we have lost most of the colour in the landscape. The resulting greens, greys and browns only serve to highlight what remains. The Tamaracks, Winter Berries, a few Red Oaks and the younger Beech.
Walking by golden Tamaracks all in frosted lace this morning was a real treat. The pre-dawn light made the gold of the Tamaracks glow and with the frost they just lit up.
